Laminates / Wilsonart

Laminate flooring, as defined by Wilsonart.

It is no small wonder that a world leader in high pressure laminate also makes the leading edge laminate flooring. Who else could produce styles today that will be in vogue tomorrow and for years to come?

Wilsonart makes the laminate - and the floor, which is something few other manufacturers can say. It's also what makes Wilsonart Flooring stand out in terms of style and performance - and why 94% of the people who own WIlsonart floors say they'd buy them again if they had the decision to make over.

A floor that's at home in every room of your home.

Wilsonart Flooring is suited for every room of the home - even the bathroom. And since it can be installed as a floating floor over most existing floors, you'll avoid a lot of costly, tedious sub floor preparation.

Construction details.

Classic Wilsonart Flooring is constructed of three main components:

The surface or decorative face of the flooring is a high pressure laminate material similar to many countertops - but at least 10 times more durable.
The carrier or core layer to wich the surface is bonded with a moisture-resistant adhesive is made of 50-55lb. high density fiberboard. This wood-based material is precision machined into a tongue-and-groove design.

The backed or bottom layer is also made of laminate to balance the floor and add strength.
Wilsonart flooring possesses patented tongue-and-groove design that creates a tight fitting, moisture-resistant seam.

The magic of a floating floor.

Wilsonart Flooring is best installed by a professional, although a handy do-it-yourselfer can do the job as well. Either way, Wilsonart Flooring is typically installed as a floating floor - which means it isn't glued or nailed to the sub floor. That is a big advantage because unless it's carpet, your existing flooring doesn't have to be removed.

In addition, your sub floor does not have to be perfect - which saves both time and money.

Even in the bathroom ...

Wilsonart Flooring features a patented tongue-and-groove design which provides tight-fitting, moisture resistant seams. They have also added enhanced water-resistant properties by treating the exposed edges of the core with a special additive during manufacturing - which is why Wilsonart Flooring can now be installed in the bathroom!

Durability clenches the deal.

Wilsonart Flooring passes the tests of time. It's warranted not to stain, fade or wear for a full 16 years. It stands up to high heels, rollerblades, furniture and the like - so your investment will yield returns for many, many years.

No more crying over spilled berries: Wilsonart Flooring can handle it.

One quick swipe with a sponge erases even the messiest mishaps.

Finally there's a floor that doesn't need protection from everyday life.
